Courthouses to Reopen in Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

Some of the federal courts in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are expected to reopen on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, after being closed due to Hurricane Maria. 

District of the U.S. Virgin Islands

  • St. Thomas/St. John Division will reopen to the public on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
  • St. Croix: Courthouse remains closed until further notice.

District of Puerto Rico

  • The main Clerk’s Office at the Degetau Federal Building in Hato Rey and the Toledo Federal Building in Old San Juan will open to the public on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, and will observe a limited schedule, from 9 to 11:45 a.m., and 1 to 2:45 p.m. 
  • Court operations and services will resume normal operations on Monday, October 16, 2017.
